Key Responsibilities

• A demonstrated safety first work ethic and professional attitude
• Welding using MIG, stick and TIG (TIG not essential but looked upon favourably)
• Competent in all facets of oxy-acetylene processes
• Undertaking steel fabrication and repairs to high standards
• Ability to adapt to changing work requirements
• Ability to read plans and produce detailed quality work
• Excellent communication skills
• Willing to both contribute and learn from others; and
• The ability to build clear and open communication with clients, management, supervisors, leading hands and team members

The successful applicant will possess the following skills

• Appropriate trade qualifications in Boilermaking
• A demonstrated high level welding ability in heavy/light steel fabrication and repairs
• Current weld test certifications will be looked upon favourably
• Proven capacity to problem solve with excellent time management skills
• Ability to read and interpret drawings
• Strong commitment to safe work practices
• Hold Australian Work rights (Residential or Visa)
• Current drivers licence
• Possess, or be willing to attain an HR drivers licence
• Be able to provide a clear drug and alcohol screens
• Ability to work safely in a regulated environment
